چکیده

a new and simple method followed by atomic absorption spectrometry has been developedfor indirect determination of ascorbic acid (aa). the proposed method was based on the oxidationof aa to dehydroascorbic acid with cu2+cation(200mgl-1)in an ammonium thiocyanatesolution atph2.4. aa reduces cu2+to cu+followed by the precipitation of cu+ with scn-. then, the excess ofcu2+in the solution was measured by the atomic absorption spectrometry.the results showed thataa can be sensitively measured in the linear range of 2.0 to 40.0 mgl-1 with the detection limit of1.5mgl-1.the relative standard deviation (%rsd) was 0.319 in 7 determination of 2.0 mgl-1 aa.finally, the method was successfully used for the determination of aa in tablets containing variousamounts of aa.

Indirect Determination of Ascorbic Acid by Atomic Absorption Spectroscopy

A new and simple method followed by atomic absorption spectrometry has been developedfor indirect determination of ascorbic acid (AA). The proposed method was based on the oxidationof AA to dehydroascorbic acid with Cu2+cation(200mgL-1)in an ammonium thiocyanatesolution atpH2.4. AA reduces Cu2+to Cu+followed by the precipitation of Cu+ with SCN-. Then, the excess ofCu2+in the solution was measu...

Atomic absorption spectrometry for the automatic indirect determination of ascorbic acid based on-the reduction of manganese dioxide.

A new and simple flow injection method followed by atomic absorption spectrometry has been developed for the indirect determination of ascorbic acid. The proposed method is based on oxidation of ascorbic acid to dehydroascorbic acid using a solid-phase manganese dioxide (30% m/m suspended on silica gel beads) reactor. The flow of the sample through the column reduces the MnO2 to Mn(II) in an ac...

Determination of aluminum in bone by atomic absorption spectroscopy.

In developing this method for determination of Al in bone we paid special attention to the homogenization of bone samples, which presents great difficulties for trace-element analysis. To minimize the risk of contamination, we preferred low-temperature ashing over classical wet-digestion techniques for destruction of the organic material. Graphite-furnace atomic absorption spectroscopy is used ...

Determination of oxalic acid in urine by atomic absorption spectrophotometry.

A method is described for determination of oxalic acid in urine using atomic absorption spectrophotometry. The concentration of urinary oxalic acid is calculated by using the difference between two determinations of calcium: first, the excess of calcium in the supernatant after precipitation as calcium oxalate at pH 5, and second, the total calcium determined at pH less than 1 (endogenous and a...

MONITORING OF LEAD POISONING IN SIMPLE WORKERS OF A COPYING CENTER BY FLAME ATOMIC ABSORPTION SPECTROSCOPY

Inorganic lead compounds are used most widely in paint and pigment industries. Because of exposure to lead dust in workers in a copying center, we compared blood lead levels in these workers to normal individuals and investigated the relationship between job tenures of the workers and their blood lead levels. This survey was performed on 20 simple workers in a copying center of Tehran Univ...

Determination of L- Ascorbic Acid in Plasma by Voltammetric Method

Voltammetric techniques have been considered as important methods among the analytical techniques used for the identification and determination of trace concentrations of many biological molecules such as L-ascorbic acid (AA). L-ascorbic acid is an electro-active molecule, though it is difficult to determine its value directly with a majority of electrodes made of carbon and transition metals, ...
